This Privacy Policy explains how Spend., a personal budget tracker for macOS, handles your data. The short version: Spend. doesn't collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data on external servers. Everything happens on your Mac.

What data Spend. handles

Spend. is a desktop application that runs entirely on your own Mac. When you use it:

• Your imported transactions, categories, budgets, notes, and preferences are stored in a local SQLite database on your computer, in the application support directory.
• This data never leaves your machine.
• Spend. does not connect to the internet. It makes no network requests, sends no analytics, and contains no tracking code.
• There are no user accounts, no logins, no cloud sync, and no servers operated by us.

CSV imports

When you import a CSV file from your bank or money app, the file is read from your local filesystem and the data is stored in your local Spend. database. The CSV file itself is not modified, copied elsewhere, or uploaded anywhere.

Purchase data

When you purchase Spend., the transaction is handled by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment information for the purpose of processing the sale and delivering your download link. We do not have access to your payment card details.

Information collected by Lemon Squeezy is governed by their privacy policy, available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. They act as the merchant of record for your purchase.

The only information we receive from your purchase is your name and email address, used solely for delivering your software, processing support requests, refunds, and occasional product updates.

Email communication

If you contact us for support, we will use your email address only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add purchasers to mailing lists without their consent. We do not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your email address to third parties.

Cookies and tracking

Our website, panicbusapps.com, is a static page hosted on Netlify. It does not use cookies, set local storage, or run analytics or tracking scripts. Netlify may log standard web server access information (IP addresses, browser type, requested pages) as part of normal hosting operations.

Children's privacy

Spend. is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this Privacy Policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted clearly.
